This links into our academy values of community and to our curriculum intention where we recognise the importance of place, self and agency in navigating the world. We strive to develop self-belief in our students so that they can take their rightful place in the great conversations of humanity.
We emphasis kindness, empathy and mutual respect. We make it clear that we are moral and therefore challenge injustice in a constructive way when we see it. We are curious so we want to find out more about the world and celebrate the differences that make us such a strong community.
We are committed to ensuring equality of education and opportunity for all pupils, staff, parents and carers receiving services from the school, irrespective of gender, race, colour, ethnic or national origin, marital status, age, sexual orientation, disability, religion or belief. We aim to develop a culture of inclusion and diversity in which all those connected to the school feel proud of their identity and able to participate fully in school life.
We will tackle discrimination by the positive promotion of equality, challenging bullying and stereotypes and creating an environment which champions respect for all.
